Order Processing

We are committed to processing your orders as quickly as possible (and will notify you of any issues with your order as soon as possible, once it has been placed) so that you are kept fully informed of how your order is progressing.

If, for any reason, the product you have purchased is temporarily out of stock, a member of our sales team will contact you by telephone or email. In this case you can either decide whether to substitute the product for another item of equal or greater value, or you can choose whether to cancel your order.

Order Cancellation/Returns Policy

We want you to be 100% satisfied with the products you receive and the service we provide.

Should there be any issues with your order, do not hesitate to contact us by email: info@mienas.ie or by telephone +353 45 404977. We shall be happy to rectify the matter as swiftly as possible.

If, for any reason, you are not completely satisfied with any of our products, simply return them to us, with an explanation, within 7 days. We shall be happy to provide a replacement, exchange or refund.

Delivery Times

In Ireland, parcels are generally delivered within one to three working days after ordering. Outside of the Republic of Ireland, delivery takes 3-5 days for EU countries. We do not deliver to the US. If your destination is not on our list, just give us a call on 045-404977 to see if we can arrange delivery.

We avoid despatching nougat on Fridays, as we have no control over how suitable the storage conditions are for them over the weekend.

Parcels under 2kg in weight are posted using An Post. Parcels exceeding 2kg are sent using courier services and a signature is sought on delivery. This is a Monday – Friday Service.

In order to help us deliver your package as quickly and efficiently as possible, please provide us with the recipient’s telephone number and directions for our courier, should the recipient be located outside a major city.

Kindly note that all orders shipped by standard post are at the customer’s own risk and we would always advise, whenever possible, that customers choose postal or courier options that can be tracked.

We deliver to the address as you enter it, and we cannot accept any liability for late or failed delivery if the quoted address, phone number or other contact details provided are incorrect. Therefore, kindly be extremely vigilant when entering delivery address details on our checkout page.

Miena’s does not accept any responsibility for delays in the receipt of orders due to unfavourable weather conditions, customs clearance, customs inspection or any other issue beyond our control. Please note that delivery charges on our website do not include VAT or customs charges and recipients outside of the EU may be subject to taxes, duties or customs charges upon delivery.

Miena’s nougat is not offered on a sale or return basis and all goods remain the property of Miena’s until all outstanding debts have been settled in full.

Miena’s reserves the right to refuse to supply any individual or company and reserves the right to deny access to the www.mienas.ie website.

Busy Periods

During busy periods, we cannot guarantee normal delivery practices as there is often a queue of orders. If you wish to order early to avoid disappointment, we are happy to send out orders at a later, designated date. You can ring us on 045-404977 to discuss your requirements. Placement of an order is not a guarantee that it can be delivered at very busy periods, e.g. Christmas. However, we will make every effort to ensure that all our customers’ expectations are met.

Delayed Deliveries / Insufficient Address Details

Recipients’ telephone numbers are required so that we can contact people directly in the event of a delivery issue. While we do our best to check that addresses are valid, we cannot accept responsibility for late delivery of goods in the event that the address is incomplete or incorrect. We are not responsible for late deliveries due to adverse weather conditions or other causes beyond our reasonable control. If goods have been returned to our premises and must be sent out again, a second delivery charge will apply.

Warning – Cold Weather and Nougat

If your delivery of Nougat has been made in very cold weather, or if it is stored in a very cold place, it is best to let the nougat acclimatise slowly to room temperature (Leave for 1-2 hours inside its parcel packaging). Your patience will be rewarded! Sudden temperature changes (from cold to hot) may cause sweating inside the packaging and deterioration of the product – what a shame that would be!

Warning – Heat, Odours and Nougat

Miena’s Nougat is made using only natural ingredients and is, therefore, heat sensitive. It can melt or go very gooey when left in sunlight or near a source of heat.

And lastly….

Enjoy Miena’s Nougat in its prime. Because we don’t use any artificial stabilizers, the fresher the nougat is when eaten, the better. Remember, you can always come back for more!
